Hey, Lemme Put You On Something... 📼⋆.˚🎧

> Get this; I've been in Spacehey for a couple months now and it's generally been such a fun place. If you haven't heard of it yet, basically it's kind of like a MySpace revival, you know, like in the era of the personalized internet where the entire web is your sandbox. They're trying to bring that back with Spacehey and if you ever stumble upon it one of these days, you'll notice that the site has a lot of similarities with MySpace. So, yeah. :P

> Anyways, I found this friend in Spacehey. His username is Postiro, and he is from Peru! We share a love for the Evangelion series and we both have Shinji as our display picture (lolz). A bit of talking and we found that we're more alike than we thought; from lived experiences down to the music taste, talking with him feels like answering an echo. He's definitely one of my twin flames.

> Postiro once shared some artists that he likes along with their mixes and I had the privilege of listening to some of the best Peruvian rock songs I've ever been introduced to. I pointed out the likeness of their sound to some of the artists back at homewhich is here, of course—like Cueshé, Mayonnaise, and Parokya ni Edgar. I sent him some of their songs and he agreed that the vibes were quite similar. I even introduced him to Kitchie Nadal and he loved her first listen in.

So, to help spread his and my love for shared music, here are some of the artists and songs that he sent me!

The Web is Spiritually Blingee: How New Media Curated my Interactions and Interests

"It takes all the running you can do just to keep in the same place."
— Lewis Caroll

Growing up, I spent my days sat before a spectacle of shows and films that ran in our cable TV for hours on end. Each one of my favorite series influenced my mannerisms that even when I would converse with myself, it's almost like my favorite characters are the ones talking to me. This would shape how I interact with media in the future.

Modern media allowed the free flow of information within my tiny screen. I learned to navigate the vastness of the Internet. As someone who had been granted unsupervised internet access as a child, I was raised by 2000's-2010's online social platforms such as Amino, Tumblr, and Discord, as well as online multiplayers such as RuneScape and Club Penguin. Leetspeak, typing quirks, niche forums, and obnoxiously verbose walls of texts had users there in a chokehold, so I had to learn them in order to integrate.
